Cabin Trip!
The night before I flew home, the boys planned a trip to Carson's Cabin. Once again it was a late night thing, haha. We waited for Olivia to get off work at 10pm and then drove an hour up to the cabin. We settled in and then headed out for some late night four wheeling and "scary" stories. I use quotation marks because they told stories of Big Foot and in my personal opinion, he is NOT real! So, I was not spooked. ha. Due to their failed attempt, on our way back down the mountain, Carson saw a wild mouse and decided to catch it! With Olivia challenging him that he could not catch it, he was more than determined to! Roughly 20min later [while Ashton and I were stopped waiting for them to catch up] they finally turned the corner. As gullible as I am, and as clever as Carson is, he asked me to get his keys out of his pocket. [he had gloves on, I did not, making it easier for me to get them] I reached in, pulled out some keys and a cell phone, but he told me there were another set of keys, I kept digging, felt something strange and stopped searching for the keys. Long story short, the mouse was not coming out of the pocket! I screamed a little [ok maybe a lot] and when Carson reached his hand in his pocket, the mouse bit him. karma!! After "playing" with the mouse, we let it go and headed back to the cabin. The next morning the boys were complete gentlemen, letting us sleep in, and having us wake up to crepes and breakfast completely ready. I picked some pretty awesome friends!
Birds Tree Jumping
On the first day of school, I had the privelage of meeting Ashton and Carson. Boy was I in for a treat ;] I don't think we have ever had a dull moment around each other. The Pi at 1am, bonfires at midnight, etc. I have noticed another trend, we always do things really really late at night. haha. We all have class till late, so in our opinion, the night starts when we are done with class. One of our crazy adventures was planned in the moment and before we knew it, we were in the mountains scouting out trees to go "Birds Tree Jumping." Carson grabbed his grapling hook and rope, in which we hooked to the tree and then to Carson's truck. I think the pictures explain the rest.
General Conference
Hilary's dad is in the Stake Presidency, so he was able to get us a few conference tickets for the Saturday Morning [our favorite!]Session. We had four tickets so we decided it would be the perfect "double date." Hilary, Reagan, Ashton, and I all headed up to Salt Lake for a wonderful session of Conference. The spirit was so strong and many of our answers we had been fasting and praying for were answered. After Conference we took the boys out to lunch for Reagan's birthday. It was a very memorable day and one of my favorite memories!
Hilary and I
Well, a new year calls for a new roommate, and once again, I got lucky!! Hilary and I were introduced by a mutual friend, Kelli, and then quickly moved into a condo in Orem. We were having so much fun, and believe it or not... never faught ;] ha. We became best friends almost instantly having scripture study together every night and weekly temple trips as well. I really think that was the reason we never faught. Well, of course, Hilary met a wonderful, respectful young man and is getting married in the next few months. I really think I am starting to see a trend.. I marry off ALL my roommates! =p
Hiking Timp at Midnight!
Wow... what a night!??!!? ha. A few of my friends called around 10 o'clock PM one night and asked if I wanted to hike Timp. at midnight for the sunrise... I was dumb enough to agree to one very long night! We were at the trailhead around 1am and began hiking. After being guided up the mountain a few time [i honestly think I was sleep walking at some points!] we finally made it to the top just in time for the sunrise! It was beautiful! All and all I am so glad I did it, but as my friends and I always say, "It's one of those things you do, just so you can say you did it. But NEVER again!"
Summer time!
School was finally out... which of course meant.. SUMMER! After a whole year of college, I don't think I have ever been more excited for the sun, the pool, the lake, and most importantly, NO SCHOOL. I was insanely busy having fun throughout the whole summer. With Lagoon Trips, Camping, Midnight showing of Harry Potter, BonFires, Rodeos, Kenny Concert, UVU baseball games, and lots of hiking!!
Kim and I
During my freshman year, my friend Kim and I were randomly selected as roommates. Who would have thought we would become best friends. We had so many crazy adventures I couldn't even come close to sharing them all on here. But, here are a few of our favorites....
*Late Night runs to Sonic...
*Weekly Temple Trips
*Watching and Singing along to the Little Mermaid in the Bathtub...
*Sledding [extreeme style]
We were roommates for about a year, and now she is getting married to a strapping young man!
I love The Little Mermaid!
